Three R's to Recovery !


If you want to see results in your desired fitness goals one MAJOR KEY is recovery. Heres how we remember the keys of getting that recovery in our daily activities. The three R's, Refuel, Rehydrate, and Rest. These are the three basic needs to optimize your workouts and their results. 

Refuel.
When we say Fuel we mean Food! Your body uses nutrients, protein, and energy from food to get you going. After a workout you should refuel your body as soon as possible. It's best to refuel within 45mins of your workout. Protein is a go to for many athletes when it comes post workout fuel but don't get us wrong. There are many different post workout food options that will help your body recovery properly.

Rehydrate. 
Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! We can't emphasize this enough! Hydration is so important for your health especially if you want to achieve your fitness goals. Your body loves water! Every time you sweat you are losing water for your body. Hydrating before and after your workout is a must but even while working out you should sip about 7 ounces every 10 - 20 minutes. Replenishing your body with the water has benefits you can't pass up. Plus it's great for healthy skin !

Rest.
When we think recovery people often think rest. Rest is a key component of recovery because this is when your body gets to rebuild your muscles, replenish your energy, and repair damaged tissues. Thats three more R's right there! Rest allows both physical and psychological recovery.
