We at Fit Curls LOVE our sleep and heres why you should too! Many people beginning their fitness journey by going to the gym or changing their diet. One major aspect people forget is SLEEP! Here's 5 facts about sleeping that will bring you closer to your fitness goal. 

1. Give those muscles a chance to grow. Your muscle rebuilds while you sleep. 
This is something many of us know but sometimes forget. When we sleep our body is working and rebuilding those muscles that you busted you a** (mind my language) in the gym working for! 

2. Melatonin is enhanced with good sleep!
Melatonin who? Melatonin is what allows skeletal muscle injuries to heal faster. For all those that deal with skeletal injuries this here goes to show how sleep can help with that healing process. Special one for all my athletes out there!

3. Sleep helps you eat less. 
Sleep affects the levels of leptin produced in your body. Leptin is a hunger regulating hormone which helps your body realize it is full. 

4. Lack of sleep affects your metabolism.
More sleep = Fast metabolism = Burning more calories !
